Raedon Kong/Self Titled/2013 CD Review

Raedon  Kong  are  a  band  from  the  U.S  that  plays  of  mixture  of  doom/sludge,  Post  metal,  psychedelic,  and  experimental  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  and  self  titled  2013  album.

Drums  range  from s low  to  mid  paced  playing  with  no  fast  drumming  or  blast  beats  being  present  on  this  recording,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars,  as  for t he  sound  effects  when t hey  are  utilized  they b ring  a  very  dark,  avant  garde  and  experimental  sound  to t he  recording.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow  to  mid  paced  heavy  riffs  that  combine  doom,  sludge,  post  metal, psychedelic  and experimental  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  along  with  a  great  amount  of  soft  and  clean  playing ,  while  the  lead  guitars a re  very  melodic  sounding  post  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  range  from  sludge  style  screams  and  clean  singing  doom/stoner/vocals,  while the  lyrics  cover  dark  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  for  being  a  self  released  recording  with  some  of  the  songs  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

In  my  opinion  Raedon  Kong  are  a very  great  sounding  heavy  hybrid  of  doom,  sludge,  post  metal,  psychedelic  and  experimental  music  and  if  you  are  a f an  of t his  musical  genre,  you  should c heck  out t his  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Heavy  Light"  and  "Forgotten  Son".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
